The Conservative Party has again made a clean sweep of all 6 electorates in Cornwall in the early election, though the result in St Ives over the Liberal Democrats was wafer thin.

The UK wide result was a ‘hung Parliament (ie. no party gaining a majority of seats) and as at publication the Conservatives have gained Royal approval to continue on the government benches under PM May and test their ability to govern in Parliament, with the controversial support of the Democratic Unionist Party of Northern Ireland.
