An Dew are delighted to announce the official release of their festive song “Christmas in Cornwall”, with all the money raised going to Children’s Hospice South West’s – Cornish children’s hospice – Little Harbour.
An Dew are a Truro based husband and wife duo who have been playing the pubs and clubs around the Duchy for the last 6 years. When performing at the weekend they sing popular covers but always slip one of their original numbers in and also offer a bespoke song writing service whereby someone can have a song written for a loved one.
They have both been in bands over the years but when they met in 2006, it was only a matter of time before they started writing and recording songs together. Their catchy pop songs and thought provoking ballads have been well received and are often played on local radio stations.
They have been featured band of the week on the David White Show and on Pirate FM and taken part in a live session with BBC Radio’s John Govier. They have worked with European producers Ruff and Jam and Lisa sang on their track I’m on Fire. http://uk.myspace.com/shadesofmercy
“Christmas in Cornwall”, was originally released in 2011 and sent to local radio stations for inclusion in their playlists. Being the proud parents of a bubbly two year old called Polly, it occurred to the pair that they are lucky to have a healthy child and that some people aren’t as fortunate, so this year they wanted to do something to help. Lisa said:
“It wasn’t until I had my own child that I understood just how precious children are and the complete love that you have for them and I can’t even begin to know how I would cope if Polly was ill. Any families that go through that ordeal now have a local facility to support them, so we decided that if we made this song available for download, the money raised could go directly to this vital charity.”
The song has been re-mastered and produced by An Dew’s friend, Grammy award nominated Luke Mourinet, so that he could add a professional finish. Luke has worked with many well-known artists including Robbie Williams and Kylie Minogue.
Christmas in Cornwall will be available to download from itunes, Google, Amazon and other outlets costing around 79p and all of the money made will go to Little Harbour.
An Dew will also be performing the song, along with a host of others at their gigs in December:
• 1st December The New Inn, Illogan
• 15th December The Boslowick Inn, Falmouth
• 22nd December Falmouth Golf Club
• 31st December The Old Mill House, Polperro
